Friends of Arkansas Singletrack... FAST... THANK YOU for an amazing Spring!!!
The 1st Wednesday of each month at the Bentonville Specialized Experience Center at the Ledger with post-ride gatherings exclusively for FAST members has quickly become a favorite! The Experience Center will also offer FREE Bike Demos on those 1st Wednesdays for our FAST members! If you arrive early, you can use the demo to join their ride that departs at 2:30 before joining our ride at 6 pm. If you'd like to sponsor the food or drink on one of those evenings, please let me know as we'd love to recognize & thank our supporters. Also, WOZ has partnered with us on this ride to help lead our "E" group, which has been a huge help as this ride tends to bring close to 100 riders! It's an awesome sight seeing all of us roll out as one massive group until we split at All American into our smaller groups.
VOLUNTEERS... thank you for showing up & being the life of the partaay!! We provided an aid station for the Pedaler's Bash. For the Rule of 3, we welcomed riders as they crossed the finish line, and we removed signs after the race from all the singletrack sections of the course. And for the Bentonville Bike Fest, we led daily group rides, welcomed guests as they arrived, and stepped in where needed (parking, check-in, & clean up to name a few).
FAST Ride Leaders have risen to the occasion by successfully handling larger groups and increasing ride options. On the 2nd & 4th Wed of each month, we have our Family Rides & the 1st, 2nd, & 4th Wed, we have an "E" group option for those Entering the mountain bike scene.
OZ Mountain Bike Patrol... AKA... Kelly William's Kids... now 40 strong! They've been tending to riders all over the land of OZ, from Enduro's at Eureka Springs & Mt. Nebo to local rides like the Pedaler's Bash, Bike Fest, our Wednesday rides, & about everything in between!
Our FAST Race Team, led by Ryan Breese, regularly has people on the podium & we appreciate the sponsors that have paid for their jerseys & reimburse entry fees for those that podium! Speaking of business partners... we are working on consolidating a list of local businesses that give our members discounts. If that's you, please let us know your company, person of contact, & discount/benefit offered to our members. We're asking for a calendar year commitment as we understand things can & do change.
Our Trail Coordinator, Scott Holland, continues to work with the Trail Adoption Program to coordinate Trail Work Days & organize volunteers to keep our trails top-notch!
